- Black out and remove names of any individuals that do not have parent information to be on the internet.
- ‘Restrict Access’ to any post that provides information on upcoming events or gives away other information about when and where we will be camping, how many are going, etc. Fundraisers and other events that require advance publication need to be approved by the Scoutmaster before going public.
- Posts by Patrol Leaders must be reviewed by the Webmaster and marked with ‘Restrict Access’ if needed before publishing to the public.
- Posts on how the troop operates are to be marked as ‘Restrict Access’ (things such as jobs of specific people, etc.).
- As a Scouting rule, there are no secret areas on the website where admins and all adult users cannot access. Be aware when setting roles that can restrict posts.
- Private messages that cannot be seen by others on the site are also strictly forbidden. Do not set up any plugins or components that allow this.
To Restrict Access to posts, at the bottom of the post/page click the box ‘Restrict access to this post?’ and then select ‘Logged in Users’ for ‘Who can access this post?’.
